We lost our deen, we feel secure because our mansions are locked

In my teen years salat really wasn't that tight

Now i gotta pray each one of them twice.

Brother we prefer light skinned women

while righteously maintain our deen against racism (and tribalism)…

Kids in Africa starving cant afford to cry

I’ll pay the bank interest on a car I can't afford to buy

…

We used to smile at each other with faces full of light

Now we frown on each other, we bicker, and we fight

Pops in the mosque praying,

kids in the streets haitin

kids on the corner selling pot and in the mosque preaching…

…

The Qur'an has left our hearts - stranded hanging on our walls

6,232 verses so strong

9 out of 10 of us can't even read it or write

1924 seems distant like way before Christ
